Disappointed.. this is a lovely venue and we previously had good experience here. The meat was dry. The "gourmet" potatoes were large spuds that had been peeled, chopped up and boiled. No attempt to present the food so it matched the price tag.

Have been coming here for many years and always loved it. This visit was disappointing, based on a menu item Ialways get. Previously veal masala, now offered is only pork masala... not as good. Also, the ceiling lights appeared flickers as the ceiling fan operated below them. Staff very nice. Other diners with me enjoyed their meal

I've been to this restaurant for more than 20years. The staffs are always friendly, and the taste of food is also naver changed!! You must go to this restaurant rather than super expensive restaurant in Auckland city. I'm sure if we go to Auckland we will visit this restaurant again!!

This was our third visit to Portofino restaurant. The owners and staff are very welcoming and the prices are good. This is one of the few restaurants where you can byo a bottle of wine and pay just a corkage charge. We hope this restaurant continues for a long time. Sarah Beck, Devonport.
