The Merchant Pub Co.

I booked The Merchant hoping to recreate the wonderful experience I had with my friends before being away for a year. Our table was ready as requested, which I appreciated. However, a few issues prevented this visit from matching my previous experience. One cocktail wasn’t made correctly, though the bartender quickly apologised and remade it. The pizzas were good but didn’t quite live up to what I remembered. I understand Sunday may be a quieter service day, but I had hoped for the same quality that made my first visit so memorable.

A nice place to meet with friends and colleagues to have a good meal

No food just drinks with work colleagues, great atmosphere as always

Place was great and we were attended to quite quickly but the food was quite disappointing. The lamb was dry, overcooked and fatty. I was most disappointed

Service was slow. Meals took a long time to come out and a lot of the plates were left on the table for a long time once everyone finished. Had to wave down waitress to come and clear.
