The service was fantastic and the food delicious. There was not one person in our group of 13 who thought otherwise.

We had a lovely table as requested for our family celebration. The view was beautiful - until a Ute parked in front of the window. It is a shame there is parking directly outside which blocks the view. The food was delicious - the squid, which can be hard to get right, was particularly good. Unfortunately, there were very few options for dairy free - and none at all on the dessert menu, which meant that of our party of 5 only 2 could have a dessert. Those who did have dessert, had the tiramisu which was fresh and definitely tasted homemade.

Had the lamb shank. Was not seasoned enough. Needed more salt. The tiramisu was decent. However did not require ice cream on top.

First time to have dinner at the restaurant, amazing food.

We had a lovely lunch at the restaurant. The staff are nice and the manager treat the customers well. But… the Owner was terrible , they made a mistake and charged us wrongly. He was blunt and angry with the customers. His attitude was so bad that we will not go again!!!

Fabulous in every way, from booking, seating and eating, the most perfect experience for both of us. The staff were amazing, the food delicious and the atmosphere fun and enjoyable. A perfect way to celebrate the festive season.

Our second visit, and worth the drive from Remuera. Very busy, several large parties. Staff pleasant and friendly, handled customers well serving a complimentary glass of wine as service slow due to crowd. Could not fault meals or service and will come again. Far better service and food than one often gets at this time of year from some establishments.

My fourth visit to Golden Sands was as great as expected. Our group was delighted with their food which is delicious and presented beautifully. Staff are attentive and friendly. We'll be back!

We loved our dining experience and found the menu comprehensive and service fantastic. Just one recommendation - I would suggest the waiter doesn’t hover around customers’ table whilst making a decision as to what to order.

The food and service was very good but was made to feel rushed due to staff saying they were closing.

Unfortunately there was a customer who was loud and aggressive with staff.
