Great advice on the drinks, super lamb shank mains and a delicious tiramisu dessert. A lovely meal all up and good value.

Nice venue, lovely outlook, good service and excellent food with reasonable prices. We will be back again.

Our second visit, and worth the drive from Remuera. Very busy, several large parties. Staff pleasant and friendly, handled customers well serving a complimentary glass of wine as service slow due to crowd. Could not fault meals or service and will come again. Far better service and food than one often gets at this time of year from some establishments.

My fourth visit to Golden Sands was as great as expected. Our group was delighted with their food which is delicious and presented beautifully. Staff are attentive and friendly. We'll be back!

We loved our dining experience and found the menu comprehensive and service fantastic. Just one recommendation - I would suggest the waiter doesn’t hover around customers’ table whilst making a decision as to what to order.

The food and service was very good but was made to feel rushed due to staff saying they were closing.

Unfortunately there was a customer who was loud and aggressive with staff.

It’s such a great time there with my friends and family!

The restaurant was not full so cannot comment on noise level, it was good when we were there, about one third occupancy. Waiting time was minimal and service excellent. My only constructive criticism is a hot meal should be served on a HOT plate otherwise the meal cools too quickly and you are eating barely warm food.

Great to have vegetables included as part of the main.

Loving our Local! Winter menu has some warm changes alongside the favourites. We enjoyed lamb shanks and the grilled chicken on root veg - tasty and perfectly cooked. But what really rachets this place up a notch is the friendly attentive staff and the awesome location with the most magnificent sunset views.

We enjoyed our meals and will come back again. Would be nice if they did weekly specials.
