A most enjoyable visit, as always. The only comment was that the member of our group who ordered fish cakes found them a little tough.

Monthein is consistently good value. We booked online using Quandoo , received confirmation but on arriving at Monthein there was no reservation. Sam was a star and found a table for us.

The food was as always delicious. The table not so much. Although we had a reservation for 4 we were seated once again at a table for 3 so there is not enough room for the platters of food to share. Meanwhile 3 people sit at a table for 5.

I did book a table on-line and got confirmation but when we got there they had no knowledge of the booking. But they did accomodate us. Fortunately it was a Monday night - if it had been the weekend they may not have been able to.

The food was up to usual amazing standard. Staff at restaurant were attentive. Delightful evening

We booked for 6.00pm but no order taken until 6.20 and no chips delivered to table like we saw others receiving. Had to ask for our order to be taken as we were going to a play at 7.30pm
