Don’t get me wrong food was amazing! Delicious and hot! However, the service needs work. Firstly I did an online booking which they hadn’t prep for, when we were seated we waited for a further 20-25mins to order, once we ordered everything, entrees, drinks and mains, we waited 20mins for entrees, then we had to remind them of our drink order. Then waited a further 15mins for mains. Other tables had ordered and received their orders before us and they ordered after us. I know that it can be busy, and there are take out orders. I did receive an apology at the end of the night, and crunchie bar for the inconvenience. However, it didn’t change how the experience was. As a take out its great, but dining in probably be prepared to wait for your food.

Quiet night so good service and food. A good place to meet friends for a casual meal.

We enjoy visits to Monthein Thai with our dear neighbours. The atmosphere is alive with laughter and conversations, the staff are friendly and attentive and the food is always fresh and delicious.

Monthein is consistently good value. We booked online using Quandoo , received confirmation but on arriving at Monthein there was no reservation. Sam was a star and found a table for us.

The food was as always delicious. The table not so much. Although we had a reservation for 4 we were seated once again at a table for 3 so there is not enough room for the platters of food to share. Meanwhile 3 people sit at a table for 5.

I did book a table on-line and got confirmation but when we got there they had no knowledge of the booking. But they did accomodate us. Fortunately it was a Monday night - if it had been the weekend they may not have been able to.

We booked for 6.00pm but no order taken until 6.20 and no chips delivered to table like we saw others receiving. Had to ask for our order to be taken as we were going to a play at 7.30pm
