Great food and service! The service was particularly good and we were never waiting long.

A small,intimate restaurant located in the redeveloped area next to the ne stadium. Lovely atmosphere, great service from all tge young ladies. We had 2 steaks and a half rib rack - all were well presented and beautifully cooked. We shared 2 sides between 3 and had plenty. No doubt this place will really take off when the stadium opens if they maintain these high standards.

On arrival at 6pm with a reservation we were seated at a table near the door which was cold. Asked to move and were told “it’s hard to get a good table on a Saturday” Moved one over but told needed at 7.30pm. We were still finishing our bottle of wine when staff came and reminded us table was needed at 7.30pm. At no time was the restaurant full and we were only two people. This attitude of rushing you on, spoilt the night and it’s quite hard to finish a bottle of wine between 2 in an hour and a half. Instead of constantly interrupting us to see if the meal was ok, staff could offer to pour wine and make sure the dining experience is pleasurable. We left feeling slightly annoyed with the whole experience.

Overall a great evening. First time. Felt cramped with our seating being against wall and close to the other two diners and close to hallway

My husband said his steak was the best he had in years. My meal was lovely but the salmon was a bit overcooked. Still we very much enjoyed our dinner.

We had the most amazing food, it was a lovely little restaurant. Unfortunately I had a bit of baking paper within my rib meal but I can understand how that would happen and it didn’t affect the meal.

Everything about this experience was wonderful. We went as a shared birthday experience pre Don McGlashen. The food was amazing and looked as great as it tasted. The flaming cocktail was a nice treat, too. The staff were absolutely faultless in every way, so warm and helpful. We met up for coffee today and talked about how it was one of our very best experiences in ChCh dining. Thank you!

When it comes to steak, Jaba Grill and Bar is the place you must try! The steaks are always perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavour. The staff (Coco) are incredibly professional and make you feel right at home with their excellent service. If you’re craving a great steak and outstanding hospitality, this is the place to be!

Good knowledge from the wait staff on degree of doneness for each of their cuts. Duck fat potatoes, agria fries a good accompaniment. Well presented meals. A++

We arrived at 7.30pm for our booking, waiter did ok, unsure if she was new as had to keep checking what we were ordering. Entrees came out which was bread and dip which was nice, waited 40 minutes after that for our mains to come out (lamb and 300gram ribeye) ordered the rib tasters and chips which came out before the mains. when mains came out, the meat wasnt hot, was room temperature at most almost cold .. extremely over priced for basically cold food. we ate it anyways due to be hungry after the wait period.. wouldnt come back
