We had the most amazing food, it was a lovely little restaurant. Unfortunately I had a bit of baking paper within my rib meal but I can understand how that would happen and it didn’t affect the meal.

Everything about this experience was wonderful. We went as a shared birthday experience pre Don McGlashen. The food was amazing and looked as great as it tasted. The flaming cocktail was a nice treat, too. The staff were absolutely faultless in every way, so warm and helpful. We met up for coffee today and talked about how it was one of our very best experiences in ChCh dining. Thank you!

When it comes to steak, Jaba Grill and Bar is the place you must try! The steaks are always perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavour. The staff (Coco) are incredibly professional and make you feel right at home with their excellent service. If you’re craving a great steak and outstanding hospitality, this is the place to be!

Good knowledge from the wait staff on degree of doneness for each of their cuts. Duck fat potatoes, agria fries a good accompaniment. Well presented meals. A++

We arrived at 7.30pm for our booking, waiter did ok, unsure if she was new as had to keep checking what we were ordering. Entrees came out which was bread and dip which was nice, waited 40 minutes after that for our mains to come out (lamb and 300gram ribeye) ordered the rib tasters and chips which came out before the mains. when mains came out, the meat wasnt hot, was room temperature at most almost cold .. extremely over priced for basically cold food. we ate it anyways due to be hungry after the wait period.. wouldnt come back

Both our steaks were cooked to perfection & mouth wateringly delicious. Our waiter was an absolute star, he was warm & with great customer service skills. He made us feel very welcome. The Otago Red Pinot Noir matched perfectly. It was our first visit to Jaba & we’ll be back. We had a great night.

Waiter tried clearing the table while we were still eating, kept getting asked if we wanted to order or how our food was by multiple different waiters like they werent communicating at all, felt like they were in a rush to get us out, got charged the wrong amount (thankfully fixed) but also charged us for water but did not inform us it would cost extra. Food was average and not worth the price for what it was. Discounting dinner after reading such good reviews

Das Fleisch war hervorragend gewürzt und kam in der richtigen Garstufe. Die Brownies waren traumhaft. Es wird kein Brot serviert zum Carpaccio und es war zuwenig Oel und Balsamico darauf. Die Halloumi Vorspeise war gut.
